Today would have been Tony's 71st birthday.
Remembering this unique man, and his imaginative, humerus writing.....not forgetting his very niche hobby, which gave him so much pleasure. We hope he continues to inspire the modelling community across the world.
Tina, Laura & Laraine
We miss him everyday.....
Happy birthday Tony wherever you are! (It is also our daughter's 25th birthday today). Funnily enough I was thinking about him yesterday and his enthusiasm for his woodscrew armies, which was rather infectious to be honest, his love of woodworking (another shared passion) and the eclectic mix of books he would review. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteIt’s so nice to know that he is remembered and thought of. I can’t tell you how much that means. Laura.
DeleteTina,Laura and Laraine - My thoughts are with you everyday and I wish you well. Best Wishes. KEV.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Laura

ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll ever forget Tony, his world of Tian, and his vast Woodscrew Army. He realised his world, especially his army, in a manner unique to himself, and to an amazing detail and richness not often reached by other war games hobbyists. I enjoyed our blogspot conversations, and like to think of him as a friend.
Happy birthday, Tony.
Regards,
Ion
That is so nice to read. He often spoke about you and his blog, and loved your conversations. Thank you for remembering him. Laura
DeleteI just added my own tribute at Quantrill's Toy Soldiers and shared the map of his world - I hope that was ok. I love his imagi-nation creation.
ReplyDeleteWe are happy for his work to be shared. He would love that it is reaching more people. Laura
